What Is A Specialist?
Within the past two decades, new knowledge, instrumentation, and techniques in veterinary medicine have made it possible for the specialist to receive advanced training in his or her particular field of interest. The specialist, as an extension of the primary care veterinarian, is now available to help provide optimal and the most advanced patient care.
Atlanta Animal Allergy and Dermatology is a board-certified, full-time veterinary allergy and dermatology clinic founded by Dr. Mary P. Schick. Dr. Schick has specialized in treatments for disorders of the hair, skin, ears and nails since 1983.
Allergy testing is used to detect inhalant and food allergies.
Laser surgery provides pinpoint accuracy in the surgical treatment of tumors and skin lesions. Laser surgery also allows for the use of unconscious sedation rather than putting the animal under anesthesia.
