paw Veterinary Technicians (Full Time and Part Time Positions Available)

As a Veterinary Technician you will act as the extra eyes, ears and hands for the veterinary dermatologist to ensure the best quality pet care for our clients.  You will help maintain the flow of patients by providing professional, efficient and exceptional service.  You will obtain and record relevant information and history from clients and maintain proper and complete medical records.  Also, as a Veterinary Technician, you will have the opportunity to perform procedures that will not require the veterinary dermatologist’s assistance as well as completing preparatory work and monitoring hospitalized or surgical patients.  You will educate clients about diagnosis, therapeutic plans, and hospital services.  You will also ensure the safety of pets, clients and team members by utilizing safe restraining techniques, following standard protocols and maintaining clean, sterile and organized treatment areas, exam rooms and labs.

 We are looking for a candidate who is:

  • A confidently skilled veterinary technician
  • Has a minimum of 1 year experience in a veterinary practice.
  • Dedicated to keeping continuing education a priority
  • A person that thrives in the team environment
  • Enjoys supporting team members in developing their skill and knowledge
  • Eager to share acquired skills and experience
  • Supports veterinary practices in challenging transition periods.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, organizational and communication skills

Requirements for the position:

  • Minimum of 2 or more years of experience as a veterinary technician
  • License or License-Eligible Preferred
  • College Degree (BA/BS or Associates) Required
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Must be proficient with using a computer
